Introduction

Course Duration: 10 days in 2 weeks

The most important journey you can take is the journey within. This is a journey to the truth of who you really are. This is the place, just beyond every day consciousness, where inner empowerment begins. Inner power gives you the power to choose creative thinking rather than automated thinking, response rather than reaction, peace, love and harmony rather than stress, conflict and chaos.

Meditation enables you to embark on this inward journey. Raja Yoga Meditation gives you a clear understanding of inner self, helps you re–discover and use the positive qualities already latent within you, enables you to develop your strengths of character and create new attitudes and responses to life. You start to enjoy moments of silence and to savour periods of introspection and reflection.

Enlightened Kids (EK) is a way of conceptualizing education that promotes the development of values-based learning communities and places the search for meaning and purpose at the heart of education. EK emphasizes the worth and integrity of each person involved in the provision of education, in the home, school and community.

In quality education, EK supports the overall development of the individual and a culture of positive values in each society and throughout the world, believing that education is a purposeful activity designed to help humanity flourish.

If you want your kids in the age group of 6-11 years to inculcate virtues or gain confidence, the Enlightened Kids is for you.

Course Objectives

  • Help individuals think about and reflect on different values and the practical implications of expressing them in relation to themselves, others, the community, and the world at large
  • Deepen understanding, motivation, and responsibility with regard to making personal and social choices
  • Inspire individuals to choose their own personal, social, moral, and spiritual values and be aware of practical methods for developing and deepening them
  • Encourage educators and caregivers to look at education as providing students with a philosophy of living, thereby facilitating their overall growth, development, and choices so that they may integrate themselves into the community with respect, confidence, and purpose

Our agenda is shaped by a desire to engage with, and study the processes and value systems that can make a difference to women’s lives. There are no simple recipes for women’s empowerment. It is based on the conviction that if we want to make positive change happen, we need to bring back spiritual and moral practices in everyday living and in the issues that matter.

Through sharing personal experiences, workshops, lectures, and creative activities, we hope to discover what it takes to initiate and sustain positive changes that can empower them in their role as a mother, wife, sister, home-maker, social worker, administrator, teacher, doctor, etc.

Being a mother, daughter, sister, friend, wife & for those who are working, a responsible employee, all at once! As a woman, it is very easy to get immersed in life’s numerous roles. Learn to de-stress and relax with the gentle art of meditation. Rediscover different techniques and tools for Self-esteem, Time-Management and Self Empowerment.

Introduction

Our outer world is a reflection of what lies within our collective inner worlds. By directing our thoughts in specific, positive ways, we have the potential to guide the world towards becoming a more loving place.

Whether or not you know how to meditate, you are invited to join us on the third Sunday of each month at 7:00 pm and spend 60 minutes of your time radiating peace, love and care to our world. Everyone is welcome, so bring your friends and family.

Introduction

We are a medley of youth ages 12-35 who have joined together on common ground to be the change we want to see in the world. We have split this group to two:

  1. 12-20 years
  2. 21-35 years

The session for each group is held every alternative month.

Through our own personal journeys, we have savored the joy of coming home to  something deeper and more beautiful within. But we have also discovered the magic that happens when we share our journeys. By exchanging experiences with each other, our inspiration to awaken and serve the world amplifies.

Many of us have worked with young people from varied backgrounds, we discovered that with so many of us, there is a natural curiosity to understand who we are and what we have to give to this world. Virtue Cafe is a chance to invite the potential of youth onto the world stage and to create an opportunity for all of us to explore, express & exchange values in a creative, meaningful way that resonates with our generation.

  • Inner Discovery: Through reflections, journaling, conversations, lectures, and service projects, we provide activities that allow us to tap our intrinsic goodness and discover the resources of talents and values within us
  • Positive Actions: Through our programs, we encourage each other to exercise the power to choose our daily thoughts, words and actions and to benefit from the self-respect that comes from decisions seeded by honesty, love, respect, courage, etc.
  • Community: We create spaces where youth and young adults can share experiences and commune with others who are aspiring to be agents of change in their communities

Introduction

Raja Yoga Center offers courses in meditation and spiritual knowledge, as well as seminars and special events facilitating self development and personal transformation. All our courses, seminar and workshops are offered to the public free of charge, as community service.

Session Objective

  • Unique challenges demand unique wisdom to resolve. In today’s fast paced life, be it professional or personal, we are bombarded with different problems, situations, personalities, perspectives and even practices which at times go beyond our threshold levels and thus cause stress, anxiety, hypertension and other such mental pressures. Consequently, we suffer from poor health conditions, disturbed relations and loss of peace and happiness
  • Every Monday, we have talks that focus on many such challenges and provide viable and practical solutions to them. These talks are facilitated by experts who have been practicing Raja Yoga Meditation for years, and hence are able to share practical jewels of wisdom drawn from their real life situations
